Spring is without a doubt my favorite time of the year, and after a rainy spring and summer in 2009, I am taking full advantage of every sunny day. And I am so glad that I have a job that allows me to be outside more often than not.
The girls and I went to Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, CT a couple of weeks ago and it was so beautiful! The park is known for its stunning rose garden, and even though there was not a rose in bloom, the colors throughout were rich and vibrant. The tulip garden was amazing and in the midst of the beautiful tulips were parents yelling at their children in frustration over failed attempts to get their child to sit still for that ‘perfect shot.’ Even as a children’s photographer, I suffer through the same hassle trying to photograph my young one, and there are days I would rather poke my eye out than try to get her to cooperate. Thank heavens I rarely have the same problems with other people’s little ones!
As a CT photographer, I take a lot of photos at Elizabeth Park. It is a frequently requested location and it’s no wonder why. So if you are at a loss for the perfect spot, this just might be the one you are looking for.
Well, I’m off to enjoy the sunshine while it’s still shining.
